48th Annual July 4th Midnight Parade
Gatlinburg has been on the map for years by being the first city each year to start celebrating the Fourth of July. You might ask how that is possible, but it is easy to see once you hear about the Annual July 4th Midnight Parade. As the name suggests, this parade kicks off at the strike of midnight for a nightly event to bring in the holiday. This will be the 48th annual event for the parade, making it one to truly remember.
The Midnight Parade is known for the amount of detail and creation added in to each float that participates in the event. You will find lively attendees and participants including march bands with patriotic tunes and more. Each year the Midnight Parade has a Grand Marshall to kick off the event and stay around for the festivities. This year the Grand Marshall is Conner Smith, an ACA Awards New Male Artists of the Year, and is sure to bring a little country to the event. The Midnight Parade is ranked as a Top 10 Parade in the country by National Geographic each year and is an event you do not want to miss. Make sure to arrive early to find a great viewing spot along Baskins Creek Bypass as the parade makes its way through downtown Gatlinburg.
Meet and Greet with Conner Smith
With a big name like Conner Smith joining for the fun, you will not want to miss out on the Meet and Greet held the day before the event. Head over early to Ole Smoky Moonshine Holler for the chance to meet him in person. This is a first come, first served event, and it runs from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM so attendees are highly encouraged to arrive very early to secure a spot in line!
