"MANSION IN THE SKY" Mansion in the Sky is a 4-story, 8400-square-foot luxury cabin complete with all the amenities. Sitting just above the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the mansion has spectacular panoramic views of the Smoky Mountains.
One of the hardest things about planning an event is figuring out where everyone will stay. With 11 luxury bedroom suites, your guests will have all the privacy they need, while enjoying numerous areas in the mansion to gather together, build relationships, & create lifelong memories.
Imagine your special event held outside the mansion, with the gorgeous views of the Smoky Mountains as the backdrop. If your event is to be held in winter, or if it is a corporate event that would benefit from being held inside, there's a large dining/ living room in this gorgeous cabin where you can host a sit-down dinner or cocktail party.

Very spacious and was appealing to the fact that you could spread out, enjoy, and relax. Out of all luxury cabins where my family and I have stayed, the spacious kitchen had all that you could dream of while on vacation, from the cookware to the pantry. This cabin had the feel of a resort where you do not have to leave once you arrive. Each floor had a sitting area with either/or arcade games, video games, board games, pool table, etc. The spacious theater room was one of a kind and you thought you were at a movie. The outdoor area on the decks, fire pit offered plenty of seating for an enjoyable morning, afternoon, evening, night. Lastly, the views of the mountains were awesome. This was our second straight year staying at Mansion in the Sky. It was just as memorable as the first year. The eleven Class of '79 guys had a great time. Plenty of room for privacy if you want it and/or great spaces for gathering together. We had a great time. Even a local bear cub wanted to join us on the back porch, but he left with some persuasive yelling. Only negative from the group was we had to stream everything on the TV using Roku.

My entire family enjoyed staying at the Maion in the Sky cabin this April. The cabin is amazing with all that it offers. It is spacious, with many different sitting areas, entertaining with the theater room and games. The dining room was ample and provided a great gathering place throughout the day. Plenty of room for our family of 24 gathering! Spacious bedrooms and very comfy beds. Game rooms had more than enough entertainment for all ages. Kitchen is VERY well equipped with pretty much everything we needed to cook for our large crew. Hot tubs were used a lot, one for kids the other adults. Beautiful views from all decks and we saw a total of 8 bears! Only suggestion is that it would be helpful to have printed instructions for the electronics. We had to call someone for help with that. All in all it was a fantastic experience for all of us, and plans are already in place to come back soon!

When you arrive, you are greeted with beautiful views from the back decks (all four of them). Bedrooms are very spacious and large. The dining room and large kitchen with two large refridgerators and ranges are great. Our group of eleven high school classmates needed a bedroom for each person and this one fit the bill perfectly. There were only two complaints we had on the whole trip. One was the ice makers did not work on either of the two large fridges (this was a small inconvenience having to go buy ice all the time). We felt a place this large may have a stand-alone ice maker instead of the small freezer in the room off the kitchen. The major complaint we had was the blackstone-type grill (griddle) on the deck needs to be replaced with a large regular grill. We did not use the grill until the last night we were there. Two of the knobs on the grill were stripped out and would not turn (we had to use a pair of pliers to turn adjust the temperature). Also, the grill would not heat up to an elevated temperature to cook the steaks we had purchased.
Overall, we had an excellent stay and will try and return to this cabin if our group needs eleven bedrooms. We will just make sure the grill works the first day we arrive.

We had a family reunion with 21 people and everyone loved the mansion in the sky. We needed 11 bedrooms so there was enough for everyone and everyone had a master suite with their own bath king-size bed and fireplace. The best part about this rental is the view. We sat outside every night and evening watching the sky change and looking at the beautiful mountains. If we were on the left side of the deck we could watch fireworks nightly from the Dolly Parton theme park. We only had a few minor problems and they were taken care of immediately. Definitely a five star rating. Only one problem couldn’t be solved and that was because of the Fourth of July weekend. One of the hot tubs was not working but all the kids enjoyed the other hot tub and also enjoyed the nearby swimming pool.

We rented Mansion in the Sky for our family vacation. This is our second stay at this amazing house and we had a wonderful time. There is so much room and things to do for every age range of our family. The grandkids loved the theatre, the adults and kids love the arcade games and the hot tubs. The cooks loved the well appointed kitchen and everyone enjoyed sitting on the various decks enjoying the beautiful views. We did have an issue with the theatre system that had been damaged by a previous guest. They responded immediately with a temporary solution and then had someone the next day with a new system to save the day. We will be back to this wonderful retreat! Our grandkids said it's the best vacation place in the world!

House was great! Seventeen family members (including one wheelchair user) spent 5 days at the cabin. We all enjoyed our stay. Plenty of space to spread out and do our own things yet plenty of areas large enough to hang out together. Well stocked kitchen even though we didn’t cook at the cabin a single time. Enjoyed watch a family of 5 bears from the back decks. Got a bit of a scare when one of the bears came onto the main level deck while a couple of people were out there…they were looking over the rail for bears when an adult bear sauntered right up onto the deck. We scared her off, but she came back and knocked the grill over later that night. Scared the heck out of us! Overall, it’s a great place for a large group. Would definitely book again.

We came upon this cabin through a Google search. We were looking for another cabin in Gatlinburg but larger than our previous favorite. This cabin is beautiful and very spacious with breathtaking views. Our group of 20 had no complaints. Gatlinburg is becoming very congested with a lot of cabins but with this one we didn't worry about looking out of our balcony window into somebody else's cabin. The staff has really thought of everything. We never had to call them for anything because they had everything, from a deep freezer to crock pots and speaker boxes they had it all. This cabin will not disappoint and Barb was great to work with.

Twenty members of our family from California, Connecticut and New York descended on The Mansion in the Sky for 7 days of happy togetherness. Our ages were from 89 to one year. There was something for everyone to do. Hiking, Dollywood, Anakeesta and enjoying the many opportunities for fun right at the house. The kids and grandkids took turns cooking in the kitchen that is huge and has every appliance you need. We have grandsons who love to cook and every morning cooked eggs and bacon on the outside grill for the gang. This is a fabulous house and after we got home our 6 year old great grandson texted everyone and asked when we would go back. It truly was the perfect week. We
OMG! I don't know where to begin. We had 26 of our friends with us helping to celebrate. Thankfully everyone that attended were vaccinated. My fiance and I have already had boosters as well as several others, but we still took precautions. The chalet was magnificent. Everyone had a fabulous time. We even hired our favorite DJ from KY, and he came down and DJ'D on that Thursday for us. We did not want to leave!Everyone wants to start making this a yearly thing! We did see bears:) The owners are absolutely nice. Any questions that I had during our stay they were on it. We will definitely be back!

The Mansion in the Sky was the right size to fit my 31 guests with the 11 bedrooms and a dining room that could sit all of us at the same time. The kitchen was perfect so that we could cook everything for the meal at one time. We served a buffet style each evening. (We saw live bears four different days that week.) I don't know if the adults or the children had the most fun. Thanks for the memories.

Wonderful experience! Prior renters left late so we couldnt get in on time, but overall it was a great experience. We had multiple children and they loved the arcade games. We couldnt get the theater to work, but everything else was in working order. We also had TWO exciting nights of attempted auto theft by BEAR! Very exciting for all as we were behind the glass ha. LOVED the layout where everyone had a king and their own bathroom!

We had a wonderful stay at the Mansion in the Sky last week! The accommodations and views were all spectacular! Plenty of room for 20 people to spread out (except the living room). The use of the Grocery Store Concierge service was a huge help! We appreciated that everyone had their own bedroom suite with large bathroom. One of our days was interrupted by a plumbing issue in the ADA bathroom that was resolved by 5:00 pm. (TIP for ADA bathroom: my aunt who stayed in the ADA suite said the elevation of the commode should be higher, the water wand didn't reach the tub bench in her shower, so she had to stand up. Family recommends that there be ADA handrails in the other bathroom in M1 bedroom on main floor. We had a second senior aunt stay there.) Our daily visits by the black bears at/near the front door were something we don't see in Michigan and Florida! Big surprise to see a couple on the hot tub! The drive up to the house is not for the faint of heart! Don't forget to decorate and add a stone to the rock garden near the front door. Overall, our family had a memorable trip that we will talk about for years to come!

Needs a refrigerator and a table/counter area on one of the game room levels to keep beverages while playing games instead of having to go up and down to the kitchen each time. Also could have eliminated the bottom level bedroom and made it a game room area instead of game rooms right outside of the bedrooms! But all in all a very nice cabin! Barb and Brother Trev are AWESOME! We had to call a couple of times for maintenance issues and Trev was great! Didn't miss a beat! We'll be back. Thanks for the care and concern that goes into your cabins.

We were blessed to come together as a family for Thanksgiving 2020! The cabin was amazing! Amazing views! Paved drive all the way up to the cabin! Plenty of space for our entire family of 34!! The kids were entertained with all of the amenities & theatre! The few minor concerns that we did encounter was met with immediate response from the property manager and the maintenance tech. We saw black bears every day we were there! It was picturesque! Definitely would recommend to anyone! Thank you!

Our group spent a fantastic long weekend at Mansion in the Sky. We had all kinds of plans to go play tourist on Saturday, but the cabin-ish palace was so wonderful we arrived and didn't leave until it was time to check out. The cabin is very well equipped with activities and kitchen gear and the weather that high up is dramatic and changes throughout the day. Oh, did I mention the view? It's spectacular!
We all had a great time and can't wait to come back for another stay in the lap of luxury. I would recommend this destination cabin to anyone.

The Mansion in the Sky is just incredible! We enjoyed four wonderful nights with 25 people - 15 adults and 10 children, and we could have had more family! Everything about the Mansion is perfect. The attention to decorating and fun arcade games, including a 29 seat movie theater made it the most comfortable and beautiful lodging we could imagine. We even saw black bears several times during our stay which was just as exciting for the adults as it was for the children. The views were spectacular! From the deck area, we actually saw bears walking across the back of the property, we were all thrilled. Our family of 28, ranging in ages, 68 years to 1 year, were very happy with our accommodations, never a dull moment. The house was roomy & spacious, with every amenity one could desire. It was clean & well kept. We enjoyed the large kitchen, with plenty of seating for everyone in the dining room. Spacious bedrooms with a bathroom included in each bedroom. The game rooms were a favorite of our teenagers & adults, as well as the huge theatre room. We would highly recommend The Mansion In The Sky for any family or large gathering. Also, booking, arrival & departure was made so simple by The Cabin Rental Store. I talked with their staff a couple of times and they were very kind & courteous.

The cabin was spectacular and was the perfect venue for our corporate sales retreat. The only recommendation I would make is to ensure that the complimentary toiletries are available in EVERY bathroom. Additionally, the washcloths were very cheap and not very good to use. Couldn't ask for better accommodations for the 10 couples that get together every other year for the Alabama Tennessee game. Every couple has king size bed and bathroom. Being here really brings you close to nature, besides the surrounding trees and awesome views, we saw three bears, two were resting in the trees just outside the house and one was walking down the street checking out everyone's garbage containers! Such fun! Besides enjoying everything in the house, we went zip lining, white water rafting, bike riding and of course toured parts of the national park. Really enjoyed the Sinks Cades Cove, but so much more to see and do.

The views from its location high on the mountain were awesome, the downside is that the drive to and from the house is on a winding, narrow road. We enjoyed our stay at The Mansion in the Sky. We arrived to find the place very clean and everything was in order. We did encounter problems with the water not working properly on day four of our stay. We arrived home to find someone trying to fix the problem, and since it would take some time until it was resolved, we were contacted by a manager who apologized and moved us into a bigger, better home. We were very happy with the upgrade and how quickly management worked to accommodate us and resolve problems we had. We would recommend Mansion in the Sky to anyone. We can't wait to come back.

It is so much I can say about The Mansion In the Sky, but first I want to thank Barbara who was my customer service rep and my go-to person for everything I needed throughout my preparation for my Annual Couple's Trip. She was always available, polite, and helpful. The cabin itself is definitely a Mansion in the sky!! Its huge dining table accommodating the 20 couples we had and all 10 bedrooms were spacious and relaxing. The theater room, game room, arcade games, fire places everywhere, hot tubs, they all was added bonuses to an already beautiful cabin. There is nothing negative about this cabin, it is truly worth the price and trip up the mountain. I will love to bring my group back to this cabin again. It was unbelievable!!!

Loved the cabin. Plan to come back in future only suggestion would be extra back up towels would be nice . My family of 18 was never over crowded and there was plenty to do . I loved how all the master suites no matter if located on front or back of cabin all had balconies facing the view in the back . The steps will make you tired going constantly up and down but we all need exercise. I've done a lot of research on cabins for my family size and comfort for everyone and nothing else compared to this one.

I cannot say enough great things about this cabin. It was rented for my Aunt's 50th birthday and she LOVED everything about it - the room sizes, the spacious kitchen, the decorated tree, the games, the decks - ALL amazing! We will definitely be back - SOON!!!

The Mansion in the Sky exceeded our expectations; starting with Barb My contact person who provided me with every source of information to assist with planning various activities while enjoying downtown Gatlingburg.. The views were amazing, the space for our group of 20 was plenty. We never felt crowded and everyone was equally impressed with all the amenities. We enjoyed the theatre room, game room, hot tubs and the fully equipped kitchen was well organized; our chef, Chef Sean was easily able to find everything necessary to prepare something special for us every day. I highly recommend the in-cabin massages from beneficial to life because they were excellent! The staff were timely, professional and provided a variety of services to choose from that would fit every budget. I could go on and on but to sum up this fabulous place, I will just say every guest has agreed that this is now our annual vacation spot. You will not be disappointed. Thanks Barb for all of your help and we will definitely be back next year 2016!!!!

Overall, the cabin is fantastic with a terrific view of the skokies. We had a few small issues with the fireplaces but management took care of them quickly. The kitchen had plenty of cookware and cutlery, could use some more mixing bowls. Also, we had just a couple of wash rags and dish towels. We found we had to wash those often. Would stay again if the chance presents itself. We had black bear visits all 4 nights we stayed.

There were so many great things about this place that I hate to bring up any "negative" comments since every adult/child as part of our group had the time of their lives. We've stayed in multiple rentals/VRBO and this was probably the #1 in terms of linens, bathroom/kitchen supplies. Really quite remarkable given the huge numbers of people who stay here each night. There are about 100 positive things I could say about this place and just a handful of constructive comments. However here are just a few suggestions (1) more wine glasses - we only found 2 (2) perhaps some WD40 to the hinges on the bedroom doors would help reduce the creaking during midnight bathroom breaks (3) few more soaps in each bathroom (4) laminated directions to the movie room -perhaps specific instructions for each device (BTW - you can play blu-ray movies on a playstation) (5) one of the hot tubs had quite a few dead bugs in it. These were really all fairly minor but overall we had a fantastic time and will likely return next year!! Thanks so much.

Our family of 25 had a great time at the mansion in the sky. It easily accommodated all of our needs, had amenities and then some and was located close to everything we wanted to do. the only thing that was amiss was the thinness of the walls. once one person got up in the morning, everyone was up! but it was a family vacation, so that was okay too :)

Beautiful cabin and a nice place for a getaway. The cabin has TV's every where, a great channel selection and games are provided. There were a few issues that could have made for a more enjoyable trip but nothing major. We left a note in the suggestion box. The ice maker wasn't working on the main level and a repair person was sent out the next day with only minimal improvement. We had to purchase ice every day. The cabin advertisement stated a private bathroom in every bedroom which is not true as one bedroom does not have an on-suite bathroom.

This cabin is awesome. Great amenities and a wonderful view. Awesome built in movie theater, large kitchen and dinning room. The bedrooms are nicely decorated and spacious. Highly recommended cabin. And the staff of Earl and Barbara are two of the best.

Earl is a great guy to work with and the cabin was outstanding. The only thing I think the cabin could use is a extra water heater, so there would always be hot water for all 20 guest when they turn on the water.

We would like to thank you for a wonderful place for us to have our family Christmas. This by far is the best place we have stayed in Gatlinburg. It's location was also perfect,just a short drive to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Plenty of parking which came in handy since we have a large family. We would highly recommend the Mansion in the Sky. The children enjoyed the game rooms and the theater room also. Barbara was extremely helpful and a pleasure to work with ,she responded quickly to every email we sent. We had a wonderful stay at this cabin! We were here December 12-15, 2014 and we had people of all ages, it was perfect for everyone. The cabin was very well stocked with all of the necessities and we also pre-ordered groceries from the grocery delivery service which was wonderful, it was great to have everything we needed already there when we arrived. The cabin was very spacious and clean as well.
The view was amazing and none of us wanted to leave! Our family traveled from all over the country to the cabin for our Christmas Celebration and this cabin did not disappoint! We would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a cabin to accommodate large groups, we had 24 people and there was still plenty of room left over. Thanks so much for everything!

We had a wonderful time. We did a lot of cooking and the kitchen was fabulously equipped. I am so pleased with the delivery of groceries. That was a blessing. We had family from Oklahoma, Ohio, and Georgia. The cabin met all of our expectations and beyond. Kids big and small loved all of the games, books,and the hot tubs. We would return and recommend to friends.

this is a wonderful cabin and has lots of rooms, we all loved it but the only reason I can't give it an excellent rating is because of the check in time - which is 4:00pm and check out time 10:00am. This really is unfair for the price and for the stay - it's hard to get up and fix breakfast and enjoy the view and be out by 10:00. Other than this it was a wonderful place.

We really enjoyed the "Cabin", it was very well appointed, and beds were especially comfortable.
The autumn leaves were on full display when we were there and the cabin overlooks the mountains and even part of Gatlinburg.
It is in a very beautiful setting, and very restful.
We saw a black bear one evening!
Getting the theatre system to play a DVD took some effort on our part, though. We ended up using the game controller to play the DVD as the remote control did not quite work. Not a big deal, but the theater IS awesome and it would be a waste not to utilize it.

House is great. Everyone was in agreement best we ever stayed at. Suggestions. The bedroom that has workout area needs the lights and fan on different switches. Some room sheets were very thin. The electronics in the theater was complicated for us as there are four electronic paddles or controls. In general all was great and will be back. Thank you.

BEAUTIFUL luxury cabin! We enjoyed all of the amenities and the amazing panoramic view. We encountered a minor set back with theater room remote (suggest more directions or dvd player with a play button). WOW! WOW! WOW! What an amazing house and the view is spectacular. Purple mountain's why yes in the evening at just the right time! Plenty of room to be together for all in your party,and room for alone time if wanted.Would stay here again in a heart beat! Bonus: used Smokey Mountain Grocery and did not have to go to the store for food all week. Wonderful people in Tennessee!

Overall, our stay was great! The entire reservation and payment process was straightforward and uncomplicated, and the customer service was very professional and courteous.
There were a few issues that guests mentioned to me that warrant some consideration:
a. The lower right eye of the stovetop doesn't turn off immediately as the others do. This is definitely a safety hazard.
b. One of the ironing boards was broken and should be replaced. It wouldn't remain in a standing position.
c. One of the irons was broken and should be replaced. All of the water leaked out from several places, and the iron may or may not turn on when plugged into any of the outlets.
d. The TV in the room adjacent to the gameroom wouldn't go to channel 3 to receive the audio/video from the cable/satellite box.
Although these minor inconveniences may have caused some frustration, we would all recommend the Mansion in the Sky to our friends and family.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review. We only wish you had called us when you checked into the cabin about the problems you encountered. We would have sent our maintenance man out to fix these problems.
We have repaired the stove, fixed the TV, replaced the iron and ironing board.

We chose Mansion In The Sky for our family reunion. We had 18 family members from age 70 to 7. This place is simply awesome. Plenty of room, extremely well equipped and fantastic views from all three deck levels. Having a theatre in the house was a luxury. The service was outstanding. We had a small problem with the entertainment system in the theatre. One of my more technological sons spoke with someone at the maintenance number. They were able to walk him through some temporary fixes--this was at 9 in the evening. Then next day he brought cable that took care of the problem. I mentioned to him that there were a couple of broken pool cues and that I wanted to go on record that they were like that when we arrived. The next day, after being out for the day, we found 2 new pool cues at the front door. Very impressive. Would highly recommend Mansion In The Sky to anyone that needs a large vacation rental with awesome views.
