Big Creek Expeditions

We firmly believe there are two types of people in the world today: those who have tried white water rafting and absolutely love it, and those who are still waiting for their first white water rafting experience! There’s something wonderful about pitting your wits against Mother Nature armed only with a rubber boat and some paddles and coming off the victor on the other side of the rapids—it makes you feel as if you could conquer the world!

If you’re planning on a Tennessee vacation any time soon, Big Creek Expeditions should be the first rafting company you look into! With prices starting as low as $29.95 for Children 8 and over and $39.95 for adults, an afternoon spent rafting the rapids promises to fit into your budget nicely as it provides an adventure you can boast about for years to come.

Forget GPS, Follow This Link Instead to Big Creek Expeditions

Directions on how to get to the spot where your white rafting adventures begin can be a bit difficult to follow on GPS, so use this link: http://www.bigcreekexpeditions.com/directions. The kind staff at Big Creek Expeditions aren’t just great at directions; they are awesome at the helm of the raft!

Traveling down the Pigeon River, when conditions are good, will end up being the experience you always dreamed about. Spend some time casually floating across the smoother waters, then preparing for the “big water” (there are 10 Class III rapids and 3 Class IV rapids on each trip) and the rafting in Tennessee adventures that follow!

Each rafting in Tennessee trip lasts about 1.5 hours, and in the warmer months of summer, offers the chance to take a swim in the calmer waters. The Guides at Big Creek Expeditions are passionate, experienced, certified in first aid and rescue work, and so much fun to get to know!

Because the Pigeon River is dependent on water being released from the dam, water levels may sometimes be low. The season for scheduled water releases starts April 27th and lasts through the first weekend in September.
