The fall season is in full swing right here in Gatlinburg. Make the most of autumn this year by visiting our travel destination. There is no time better than the Thanksgiving holiday where you can make your own family traditions. Take a look at how you can spend Thanksgiving in Gatlinburg this year:

Cook Up a Feast

You will still be able to celebrate Thanksgiving the old-fashioned way with a home cooked meal in your vacation rental. Our properties provide kitchens that include everything you need to prepare a feast. All of the pots and pans, utensils, and everything else you need is provided. Full-size appliances let you cook everything at once and even have space to store any leftovers. Dining rooms come with spacious tables where you can set up the whole spread. Each property should have plenty of space for each person in your party to enjoy your Thanksgiving meal together.

Local Restaurants Serving Thanksgiving

Of course, you can always head out for a Thanksgiving meal instead of cooking up your own at the vacation rental. Gatlinburg and nearby Pigeon Forge both offer a variety of restaurants that serve up delicious Thanksgiving meals. Gatlinburg restaurants that will be open include Chesapeake’s Seafood and Raw Bar, Cherokee Grill and Steakhouse, and The Park Grill. In Pigeon Forge, you can have a meal at Calhoun’s Restaurant, Hard Rock Café, or JT Hannah’s Kitchen; Old Mill Restaurant will have a special Thanksgiving menu available that day only. Each restaurant offers a different setting and cuisine so you can find someone for everyone.

Thanksgiving Activities

There are several different ways to spend your Thanksgiving holiday with exciting events around town. The Gatlinburg Thanksgiving Arts and Crafts Show will take place from Tuesday November 23rd through the 28th at the Convent Center. You will find all kinds of unique crafts that are made by hand by local vendors. Pigeon Forge will be starting their Winterfest in early November, so expect to find all kinds of holiday lights set up around town to see. As always, spend some time in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park that offers truly incredible hiking trails and views. Now that is one unique way to celebrate Thanksgiving.
