Enjoy a Classic Winter Pastime in Gatlinburg
Gatlinburg’s very own ski resort, Ober Gatlinburg, is not only for skiing and snowboarding, but for snow tubing as well. In fact, the resort has its own unique section dedicated solely to snow tubing! The snow tubing season at Ober Gatlinburg lasts from mid-November to early April, with exact dates dependent on the weather during the winter season.
Tickets are priced at $25.00 per person, per session, for snow tubers of all ages. Tubing tickets are limited in supply and tend to sell out in advance on weekends and holiday periods, so it’s highly recommended that you purchase snow tubing tickets in advance. If you find that the session you and your guests wanted to attended is sold out, you can buy a ticket for a session later in the same day or for a future session. Sessions last for an hour and a half, starting on the hour on odd numbered hours.
Children ages three and above are permitted to partake in snow tubing at Ober Gatlinburg. Children ages three to five years must ride with an adult, while snow tubers ages six years and older who are at least forty-two inches tall can ride in their own snow tube. Children under the age of three years cannot participate in snow tubing at Ober Gatlinburg.
