Father’s Day means more than just buying your dad another tie that he probably won’t wear, or another can of car wax. It’s the day we’ve set aside to honor and show appreciation to all the dads out there for all their hard work and unconditional love. And while homemade cards are definitely appreciated, and your dad really does love all those “best dad” coffee mugs you’ve given him over the years, but why not surprise him with a Father’s Day getaway to Gatlinburg? What better way to show how much you love your dad than treating him to a stay in one of our luxury rentals in Gatlinburg? Plus, you’re going to be in the Smokies!

Our Gatlinburg Rentals
Our Gatlinburg rentals aren’t just comfortable and luxurious, but they’re also spacious enough so you can bring the extended family along, and maybe even a few of your dad’s good friends. Surround your dad with his favorite people, all while enjoying the beauty of the Great Smoky Mountains. The view is the big thing here, and everyone will enjoy views of the ancient, gently rolling mountains with their unique, soft colors of blues, grays, and purples from every room.
Interiors are bright, open and inviting, with plenty of space for family gatherings and fun. Many of our vacation rentals have vaulted ceilings with exposed wood beams and detailing. Not to mention the warm wood floors, large stone fireplaces and window walls to let that beautiful view inside. Enjoy standard amenities like free Wi-Fi, large flat-screen TVs throughout, fully equipped kitchens with stainless steel appliances and stone countertops, and soft comfy linens. And most of our larger Gatlinburg vacation rentals have a game room (or two), a TV room or even a private theater.
Each rental in Gatlinburg features multiple patios and decks offering amazing views of the Smokies, complete with that famous fog. Dad can enjoy his first cup of coffee in the morning out on his private bedroom balcony as the sun rises. Later in the day, he can show off his grilling skills, or he can start teaching the next generation how to grill those tasty fresh caught trout from the morning’s fishing expedition. Afterwards, gather everyone around the fire pit for some funny “dad” stories and s’mores.
Nearby Attractions and Things to Do
Naturally, the top attraction here in Gatlinburg is the park—Great Smoky Mountains National Park to be exact. The park has a little bit of everything, from remnants of Southern Appalachian Mountain culture, forests and scenic balds, wetlands, gurgling streams and rushing rapids, and plenty of cascading waterfalls. Hike or bike along winding, shaded mountain trails and meadows filled with colorful wildflowers, while you keep an eye out for old stone walls and chimneys, and of course the local black bears. A few popular spots are Cades Cove, Rainbow Falls, Alum Cave Bluffs, and Chimney Top.
When you’re done with the hiking, biking and fishing, head to one of the area’s museums. If your dad likes cars, a visit to the Hollywood Star Car Museum might be just the thing. Mayberry’s squad car, the Beverly Hillbillies old jalopy, Disney’s Herbie the Love Bug, and two Batmobiles are just a few of the vehicles on exhibit. And there are several Ripley’s too, from Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, Ripley’s Super fun Zone, and the ever popular Ripley’s Believe It Or Not.
If your dad isn’t afraid of heights, you should plan a visit to the SkyBridge. It’s the longest pedestrian cable bridge in the country, and the glass floor panels in the center of the bridge offer a unique perspective of the way down; the long, long way down. And since we’re focusing on really tall things, dad may want to visit the Gatlinburg Space Needle for an amazing panoramic view of the Smokies.
And of course, there’s Dollywood and Dollywood’s Splash Country in nearby Pigeon Forge. Along with a top-rated waterpark and amusement park, Dollywood also has traditional arts and crafts exhibits, plenty of live music and is the site of the Southern Gospel Museum and Hall of Fame.
