Hiking Trails
The Smokies are filled with breathtaking hiking trails and there is a path for people of all different abilities. This national park is opening up gradually and there are a couple of trails that you can take to enjoy the diverse terrain in the area.
Greenbriar Cove Trailhead
Level: Easy
Length: 4 miles
This lovely trail in the northern region of the mountains is the perfect place to hike with your family. The hike is an easy way to get some exercise and enjoy the beauty of the mountains. The trail is not steep at all and you will see several old homesteads along the way. A portion of the trail goes along a ravine where there were once several Appalachian communities.
Charlie’s Bunion
Length 8 miles (4 miles each way)
Trailhead location: 107 Park Headquarters Rd, Gatlinburg, TN 37738
This section hike on the Appellation Trail takes you on a four-mile trip through the forest to a large rock where you can get a breathtaking view of the area. The last part of the trail is a bit narrow and there are some exposed cliffs, so it is not for beginners or the faint of heart.

This fun and festive Mexican eatery serves great food and huge drinks. There large portions of food are more than enough for one person and they are open for take-out meals.
