Isn’t it wonderful to be able to get out there and travel the United States once again? After the last few months, we at The Cabin Rental Store are equally excited to be able to explore and even more excited to welcome our guests back into the fold! If you haven’t made any plans to travel, we’re happy to tell you that many people are getting an extended weekend for 4th of July in Gatlinburg, and our cabins are ready and waiting to be occupied once more. This guide to all the fun you can have celebrating our nation’s birthday in our all-American city is just a little something we’ve put together to entice you to visit!

First of All, This 4th of July in Gatlinburg, There WILL Be Fireworks!

Usually we would end with the fireworks, but in a world where many shows have been cancelled, the news that fireworks are still going to be launched from the Space Needle makes us gleeful! Starting at 11 PM, the skies will be alight with a fireworks extravaganza guaranteed to bring tears of joy to your eyes, even if the annual midnight parade has been cancelled. The nearby town of Pigeon Forge is also planning on having their annual fireworks show, beginning at 9:30 PM. In respect to the ongoing virus issues, drive-in participation is recommended!

Hang Out with Dolly

Ok, we’re not really suggesting you spend the day with Dolly Parton herself, but we do think a 4th of July spent at Dollywood is the perfect way to celebrate our nation’s birthday! Riding rides, watching shows, and eating that delicious fair food makes us happy, and if you’re worried it may be too hot, Dollywood’s Splash Country offers the perfect way to keep cool! Offering “death defying” slides, lazy rivers, wave pools, and a special area for the tiny tots in your group, the only thing missing is a sugary frozen treat—oh wait! Berries N Cream has ice cream and milkshakes for your summer pleasure!

Pool Party in Your Holiday Hideaway

Many of our luxury getaways come with private pools, both indoors and outdoors, and nothing screams America louder than a good old fashioned pool party! Pick up some barbecue from Hungry Bear BBQ, 490 East Parkway, whip together your favorite patriotic cocktails and slather on the sunscreen as you prepare for a day of fun in the sun. A mermaid lemonade, made with lemonade, Blue Curacao, and rum is the perfect refreshment for this holiday; add some maraschino cherries and little umbrellas for a red, white, and blue treat!
