A dinner without dessert, a husband without a spouse, children without parents, and a sunset without wine—all of these pairings are missing a very important element, but when you visit the Mill Bridge Winery, the last pairing will not be an issue! One of the newest additions to the Rocky Top Wine Trail, the wines served here are smooth, silky, and strong. We’ve spent more than a few afternoons sampling their wares and we’re happy to recommend it to our guests!
Mill Bridge Winery is Located at 3331 S River Road in Pigeon Forge
The historic district of Pigeon Forge offers a modern twist with this winery. A humble cottage with patio seating overlooking the Pigeon River, Mill Bridge Winery offers a tranquil spot to enjoy the wines, the views, and if you’re there at sunset, those stunning Tennessee sunsets. Open every day of the week from 10:00 AM until 7:00 PM, Mill Bridge features free wine tastings to ensure you have the taste you love, while the shop inside its doors sells cheeses, jams, salami, and other foods to enjoy with the bottles you take back home.
In addition to the food and wine, they also sell accessories for the perfect wine experience, such as wine glasses, wine charms, copper buckets for chilling your favorite bottles, and a host of other charming wine themed products, many of which make perfect gifts for family who were unable to take this trip of a lifetime with you. The wines sold here include red and whites that are dry, semi-sweet, and sweet and include a seasonal one made from blueberries and a hint of lemon to make your summer nights shine even brighter. Coincidentally, this seasonal wine is called Summer Night. Most of the wines from this winery in Pigeon Forge TN are available online, so if you find one you really love and live in a state that allows wine to be delivered, you can order your favorites as often as you like. If not, there’s no laws that say you can’t plan further visits to our hometown!
What is the Rocky Wine Trail
Basically a fun way to drink more wine, the five wineries that make up the trail are located along the 441 and feature over 70 varieties of wines to sample. At the end of each visit you present your passport to be stamped, and once you have a stamp from all the wineries, you turn it in for a special prize. If you’re planning on sampling all, or even a small part, of the 70 varieties, we suggest a designated driver and spreading out the tour over different days; there’s so much more of Tennessee to see!
