Learn About the Incredible Design of Alcatraz East Crime Museum

Alcatraz East is truly a marvel of architecture and design, and when you visit one of our favorite Pigeon Forge museums, you’ll have the opportunity to learn all about it! From the moment you first set eyes of Alcatraz East you’ll immediately be taken aback by its incredible design; it looks just like a castle! A fortress built with masonry walls and thick stone, Alcatraz East was built with both the ornate features of the Tennessee State Prison combined with guard towers inspired by its namesake in San Francisco. This is truly one piece of art that needs to be seen to be believed!

A Museum Filled with Incredible Exhibits

Once you head inside its spacious walls, you’ll find that the Alcatraz East Crime Museum is home to a number of amazing galleries and exhibits for you to explore over 25,000 square feet of space! Want to know how all of that crazy stuff you’ve seen on CSI is really done? Check out the crime scene investigation exhibit, where you’ll learn to solve crime with the use of forensic science such as DNA, fingerprinting, blood analysis, and more! Or maybe you’re interested in learning about some of the most famous crimes and criminals in American history – from O.J. to 9/11, they’ve got you covered there, too; they even have the original Bronco from the now infamous O.J. chase!

Fun for the Kids

The professional crew at Alcatraz East Crime Museum is committed to providing an experience that the whole family can enjoy, and therefore they have set up a number of amazing fun exhibits just for kids! Alcatraz East features everything from teaching about famous outlaws of the Old West to even providing the opportunity to be a detective and find Black Bear’s missing gold (kids will get a prize if they do!). No matter where their interests may lie, there is plenty that will help keep members of the whole family engaged and having fun the entire time you’re at Alcatraz East.
