The Smoky Mountain Harvest Festival
Every Autumn downtown Gatlinburg business owners embellish their buildings with elaborate, autumn-themed decorations. The Harvest Festival takes place throughout Gatlinburg and runs from September 22 to November 11th. Visitors will enjoy fall-themed artwork throughout the city. You will see several life-sized scarecrows as you walk through town. Many vendors offer hot apple cider that you can enjoy as you walk through downtown and look at the artwork.

This is a Victorian-style house that is open all year long and features many mystical surprises along its self-guided tour. This haunting establishment is open from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily. As you make your way through the dark spiral staircases and narrow corridors of this turn of the century mansion, you may meet a spook or two. The family who runs this place has been scaring people for 40 years.
The Farmer’s Market

If you visit our town in October, you can still catch the final days of the farmers market. Here you can get the fruits and vegetables that Gatlinburg is famous for. They also offer baked goods and the town’s famous sourwood honey.
Ober Gatlinburg Aerial Tramway

The Tramway is a great way to see the Smokies and the town at any time of year and it only costs $15. You will see panoramic views of the Smokies and Appalachia as you ascend 1500 feet. At the top of the hill, you will find shops and restaurants of every kind.
