Ripley’s Fright Nights (Oct 2, 2020 – Oct 31, 2020)

With their haunting beauty and gray and amber skies, the Great Smoky Mountains are the perfect place to spend a late October vacation. The town of Gatlinburg is filled with fun and spooky things to do on Halloween. There are hayrides, dinner theater shows, and plenty of hot apple cider and caramel apples to eat. However, no Halloween season would be complete without a visit to a haunted house. One of the best haunted houses to visit is Ripley’s Fright Nights in Gatlinburg.

The House

The adventure begins every Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 6:00 p.m. in the month of October. It takes place in a haunted mansion where there are actors in full horror garb lurking in every corner. You must be at least 6 years old to enter. The undead will guide you through the maze of this creepy house that is over 10,000 square feet.

When you walk in the door you will be greeted by a headless horseman. You will then get on a rickety elevator that will carry you up to the main entrance. You may see a few bloody cadavers in a dungeon and the strobe lights may disorient you as you meander through a room filled with hanging heads or walk down the vortex hallway.

What It Costs to Visit Ripley’s Fright Nights in Galtinburg

If all you want to see is the Haunted House, an adult ticket is $12.99, and a children’s ticket is $7.99. If you want to use a guidelight it is $2. If you would rather experience a couple of Ripley’s other attractions as well, you can buy a package. You can get three attractions for $27. Each attraction you add after that will cost you an additional $9. Ripley’s Fright Nights in Gatlinburg offers an aquarium, a 5-D theater, an Odditorium, miniature golf, a mirror maze and the Guinness Book of World Records museum.
